County Team play starts in 5^th grade and goes up to 8^th grade. The County Team is an opportunity for players who want to compete at a higher level than Fort Hunt’s house/ rec league. Unlike Fort Hunt House/Rec league, county teams are determined by try outs and play in the Fairfax County Youth Basketball League (FCYBL.)

The County Season runs from October- Early March.  Teams have 2 practices a week and games are played on weekends and during the week across the Northern Virginia area.

To be eligible for the county team, a player must be registered with Fort Hunt Basketball and attend at least one try-out for their respective age group. A player must also reside in the following zip codes : 22306, 22307, 22308, 22309 and 22060. If you do not reside in the Fort Hunt area and are interested in playing for Fort Hunt please contact your respective county coach for information on zip code exceptions.

For Information on a specific county team, please contact that team’s coach.

*This season there will be an extra $80 fee for county players in addition to the Fort Hunt basketball registration fee to help cover the cost of county uniforms. This fee will be charged only to players who make the team.  Scholarships are available for those players who qualify for free or reduced school lunches with FCPS.*
