Learn More About FHLL in 2027
Spring baseball is approaching fast!
Registration will open on November 1 and close on January 10. Please review these important updates before registering.
New this spring: Volunteer fee collected at registration
Beginning with Spring 2027, all families will pay the $75 Volunteer Opt-Out Fee at registration, with refunds issued during the season for qualifying volunteer roles.
This change brings FHLL more in line with our Little League counterparts and helps ensure we have the volunteers we need, and that commitments translate into support throughout the season.
How to qualify for a refund:
- Team manager: Receive $75 back once confirmed by the board.
- Assistant coach or team parent: Receive $75 back once your role and team are confirmed. Each team has two assistant coaches and one team parent who also serves as a third assistant coach, filling in as needed. T-ball teams may have up to three assistant coaches plus a team parent.
- Concessions: Complete at least four two-hour shifts at the Hollin Hall Fields concession stand to receive $75 back.
- Umpire: Umpire at least four AAA–Majors games to receive a full registration-fee refund. Umpire at least four AA games to receive $75 back; team managers will track and report those games.
The board confirms managers.
- T-ball and Single A managers select their assistant coaches and team parent
- AA–Seniors managers must draft theirs.

New this spring: T-Ball for 3-year-olds!
Our youngest players are getting their own place on the field! FHLL’s new T-Ball 3s program offers a fun, welcoming introduction to baseball with small teams of 4–5 players and plenty of encouragement.
- $75 registration fee, with no volunteer fee
- Player T-shirt and hat included
- One practice each week on a consistent schedule and one Saturday morning game, each lasting 45 minutes
- A couple of fun clinics led by coaches and board members before or during the season, at no additional cost
- Coach and teammate requests welcome during registration
Our goals are simple: help kids learn which way to run the bases, which hand wears the glove, how to throw a ball, and how to swing a bat while keeping their feet planted, all while having fun!
A few important placement reminders:
- T-ball and Single A: Submit coach or teammate requests during registration. We aim for 10–11 players per team, so requests cannot be guaranteed.
- AA–Majors: Teams are drafted. Players must attend assessments and earn qualifying scores to be considered for AA placement or advancement to AAA, Minors or Majors. Assessments do not guarantee placement. Dates and times are coming soon.
- Division progression: Players must progress through divisions in order and may not skip a division. Fall participation does not fulfill the requirement to play in a division before advancing in the spring. For example, if you play AA Division in the fall, it does not guarantee you a spot in the AA Division in the spring season, or that you would move up to AAA.
- Coach, teammate, and sibling requests: Requests do not guarantee placement on drafted teams. We consider keeping same-age siblings together but will not move a younger player into a higher division simply to join an older sibling.
What’s next?
We’re planning league informational calls in December and January, with dates to come. Teams will be formed during February, with all rosters expected to be finalized by the end of the month. Managers will then contact families with placements.
Thank you for helping make FHLL a great place to play. Our league runs on community support, and every volunteer makes a difference! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.
See you at the fields!
