This statement is part of and must be acknowledged/signed in a coach’s/volunteer’s club registration.

Fort Hunt Rugby Coaches/Volunteers Code of Conduct

As a Fort Hunt Rugby coach or volunteer, I promise:
— I will abide by the Fort Hunt Sports Coaches’ Code of Conduct and Ethics.
— I will be a role model and example for all forms of proper conduct, specifically self-control, maturity, respect and sportsmanship, in training and in matches.

— I will know the Laws of the Game and will abide by them.  I will train every player in the Laws of the Game and will foster a respect for the Laws.

— During matches I will exhibit respect maturity and self-control and will support my players, regardless of their performance.

— I will show respect for opposing coaches and players before, during and after matches and will lead the club/team in appropriate post-match demonstrations of sportsmanship and congratulations, whether win, lose, or draw.

— I will show respect for referees at all times and will not question their officiating.

— I will show respect for all facility rules and regulations and will demonstrate respect for property and equipment.

— I will ensure that all Fort Hunt Rugby parents/spectators behave with maturity, respect, and sportsmanship.

— While engaged in Fort Hunt Rugby activities I will not use tobacco, alcohol, or illegal drugs.

— I will conduct myself in a manner which will bring respect and admiration to my team and to my club.
